This is an annual national networking meeting for colleagues around the UK. The aim is to share practise and experience, standardise care and inform the development of service delivery in the changing world on long-term ventilation. There is usually in the region of 50 – 60 delegates in attendance, but this group is growing bigger as each year passes, and last year over 70 SiLVaH members attended the event.
This year, the Children’s national long term ventilation group are hosting their annual meeting on the same day at the same venue. There is a planned agenda item during the afternoon, where the two groups will be combined to have a joined up discussion about transition from paediatric to adult services; an area that we all need to improve and develop.
